Abstract

Carboxylic acids are valuable in the synthesis of biologically and industrially important compounds. The promise of developing eco-friendly alternatives to existing processes has led to a renaissance in catalytic transformations of carboxylic acids. Here the project will explore metal mediated decarboxylation in important carbon-hydrogen and carbon-carbon bond coupling applications.
